David Pastrňák sniped over Ingram’s right shoulder on the power play, giving Boston a 1-0 lead 4:41 in. Geekie had two assists on the night.
Despite being down in the first period, the Coyotes were assertive and controlled the flow of play, outshooting Boston 13-5.
“We were not happy with the energy we had in the past couple of games,” Coyotes head coach André Tourigny said. “It was really important for us to jump out there. Again, we didn’t find a way to score the first goal, thats just the way it happened. The way we started the game, we are extremely proud. Whatever was the score in the first, we went into the room and were happy with how we played.”
Clayton Keller knotted the game up 1-1 by burying his own rebound as he skated in front of Linus Ullmark 8:12 in the second period. Guenther recorded an assist of the play.
Then, Jesper Boqvist scored his first goal of the season and first as a Bruin 0:50 later, regaining a one-goal advantage for Boston, 2-1.

On the power play again, Jake Debrusk sniped a shot to the top right corner of the net for Boston, evening up the game 3-3.
In overtime, Ullmark suffered an injury trying to make a sprawling save 2:40 in. Jeremy Swayman came off the bench to replace him after Ullmark was helped off the ice by teammates.
With the only shot that Swayman faced, Nick Schmaltz sent the puck off the post and into the net with 0:56 remaining in overtime, helping Arizona win 4-3.
“We needed it (the win),” Schmaltz said. “We were on a little bit of a skid there, three in a row. It was a tough stretch for us in January here. We know it’s kinda make or break for us, so we are trying to do everything we can to make points this month and put us in a good spot going into the (All-Star) break. That was huge and we need to close it out on Thursday.”
In the win, Ingram made 30 saves on 33 shots by Boston. On the other side, Ullmark stopped 32 of 25 before leaving the game.
