Kevin Durant will miss his 2nd straight game with the Suns on Wednesday as they gear up to take on the Los Angeles Clippers for game 4 of their current 6-game homestand.

While there should be no worry as of now regarding Durant missing more time, as Frank Vogel insisted that it is just some minor tightness in the hamstring, Devin Booker offered some more words of encouragement ahead of Wednesday’s game.

Speaking to Duane Rankin at AZCentral, Booker remarked, “He’ll never say it, but I think he needs a couple of games, too. He’s had a lot on his plate this season with me and Brad being out.”

To Booker’s point, Durant, at 35 years old, missed just four games before this week. And while healthy, KD has averaged 37.1 minutes per game, which is close to a career-high.

Because of the injuries that have plagued the Suns this season, including Bradley Beal missing 24 games and Booker missing 9, Durant has been relied on a bit heavier than what may have been expected given the Suns’ star power.

As for the Clippers, they currently have nobody listed on their injury report. Over their last 14 games, Los Angeles holds an impressive 12-2 record, powering them to 4th in the Western Conference standings.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight inside Footprint Center.
