Van Niel has led the Sun Devils to their first multi-win tournament in team history in his first year as head coach of ASU. Not just that, but he led Arizona State to its best record since the 80s and first tournament since 2015. He is leading a team of new players despite losing the most transfers out of any Power 5 school.
What Van Niel has done for ASU this year has been incredible, and he is building an excellent program. The program looks like it can be successful for years to come.
