The Arizona State Sun Devils have announced Marcus Arroyo as the new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Arroyo was fired as the head coach of UNLV after the 2022 season when he went 7-22 in three seasons with the team. He did not coach during the 2023 season. Arroyo is most known for developing Justin Herbert at Oregon before he was drafted 5th overall by the Chargers. He was offered the head coaching job at UNLV directly after that season.
Arroyo is a huge hire with a history of developing fantastic QB talent. He also knows how to call plays, which is a major issue for ASU. He has a chance to do something very special for Jaden Rashada. Arroyo will replace previous Offensive Coordinator, Beau Baldwin, who was fired after ASU’s loss to Arizona.
