Throughout the first third of the game, it was a back-and-forth affair, with neither team necessarily taking control with any notable leads.

However, once the scoreboard flipped to the fourth quarter, everything went south for Phoenix.

And this is not something new.

Just like what happened on Friday against the Lakers or against the Spurs on Halloween, the Suns seemingly forgot how to shoot the basketball in the final 12 minutes.

They began the quarter shooting 1-10 and ended 2-21.

Remarkably, more than half of the Suns points in the 4th quarter came from the free throw line.

Leading the Suns in shooting was Kevin Durant with 28 points. Nobody else on Phoenix’s side scored more than 20.

Notably, Bradley Beal made just one basket in the second half.

On the Thunder’s side, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams delivered standout performances, both exceeding the 30-point mark.

Compounding the Suns’ challenges, they grappled with a staggering 17 turnovers, a recurring issue throughout the season that has positioned them with the second-highest turnovers in the entire NBA.

Next up for the 4-6 Suns is a meeting with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.
