Beal went 7-10, shooting for 20 points. He also grabbed four rebounds and had two assists.

More importantly, Beal was driving to the basket and staying aggressive on offensive rebounds, which is a promising sign as he has missed the first seven games of the season due to back spasms.

Other notable performances from the Suns in the first half came from Kevin Durant, 16 points, and Jusuf Nurkic, 5 points, 6 rebounds, and four assists.

After the Suns initially trailed early on in the 1st, a strong 11-2 run propelled them into a lead that they would ultimately carry throughout the entirety of the 2nd quarter.

Playing a large role in Phoenix’s lead has been their ability to shoot the three-ball with incredible effectiveness.

The Suns went 7-15 beyond the arc compared to the Lakers, who went 3-10.
