Devin Booker Back on Suns’ Injury Report

After a near 30-point triple double in his return during yesterday’s loss to the Spurs, Devin Booker may be back on the bench watching tomorrow’s game in Philadelphia.

Booker (left ankle sprain) was listed as questionable on the today’s 5 p.m. injury report.

Bradley Beal (low back spasms) and Damion Lee (right meniscus surgery) remain out for the Suns.

Fans may remember that Booker had an injury designation before playing in the season opener and then missing the next three games. However, these were two different injuries, as Booker had a sore left toe before the opener, then sprained his ankle vs. the Warriors.

After being first listed as questionable and then a game-time decision last night, Booker played 35 minutes, including the entire fourth quarter. He said he felt fine after the game.

“(It felt) really good,” Booker said. “It always sucks to be out, and I checked all those boxes to be able to go out there and go, and I love being out there.”

Booker clarified why he was made available so late.

“I was undecided going into the day,” Booker said. “I needed my court time to see if I was actually going to play or not and that process of checking all those boxes and then bringing a minutes restriction on that didn’t very long. There’s just a lot of extra variables that go into it other than a regular game day.

The Suns not only play the 76ers tomorrow, but in Detroit on Sunday. Booker said after the game last night he’d try to play in these back-to-back games if he’s healthy.

“I feel good,” Booker said. “Every game I’m healthy, (I expect to play).”

Keep in mind that Booker has already missed three of the 17-allowed missed games for NBA awards that went into effect this season. Players need to play 65 games to be in consideration of NBA awards at the end of the year.

The Suns take on the Philadelphia 76ers at 10 a.m. MST tomorrow.
