USA Women’s Basketball announced the rosters for their two exhibition match-ups in November. On November 5th they play against the University of Tennessee and on November 12th Team USA will face Duke University.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The roster is loaded with stars like, Kahleah Copper, Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Sabrina Ionescu, and Azurá Stevens who will play in both games along with Phoenix Mercury legends Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner.
Taurasi is already a five-time Olympic gold medalist. She was part of the 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 gold medal winning USA Women’s Basketball teams. This is already crazy impressive and now Taurasi may add on to her Olympic resume by being apart of the 2024 team.
Diana Taurasi says playing in the 2024 Paris Olympics is "on my radar"

Griner has a chance to become a three-time gold medalist. She won gold medals in the 2016 and 2020 Olympic games.
Brittney Griner on whether she plans to go overseas to play basketball in the future:
“I’m never going overseas to play again unless I’m representing my country at the Olympics.” pic.twitter.com/ZUI2LFi0yX

This is also a chance for Griner and Taurasi to wash away the smell of this past Phoenix Mercury season. The Mercury finished the season with a record of 9-31 which was the worst in the WNBA. Hopefully these exhibition games are the start of a winning trend for the two longtime Mercury stars.
