eased their win streak to four games with an 8-4 victory over the Giants on Tuesday night.

With Zac Gallen on the mound, San Francisco struck first with a rally that was sparked by a leadoff triple from LaMonte Wade Jr. Then, Joc Pederson sent a knuckle curve 425 feet into the bleachers to make it a 2-0 game.

After the Giants’ strong start, the Diamondbacks quickly tied the game in the bottom of the first with two consecutive base hits from Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte.

Next, in the following inning, three doubles and a couple of walks handed the Diamondbacks a nice 5-2 lead.

Zac Gallen exited the game after five innings, allowing four earned runs but picking up his 16th win of the season.

Ketel Marte had a perfect 4-for-4 night at the plate, and the Diamondbacks’ 9-3 hitters contributed ten of the team’s 13 hits.

The Diamondbacks’ bullpen provided four shutout innings, with four different relievers taking the mound. Only two Giants’ batters reached base during this time.

This short two-game series will wrap up tomorrow at 12:40 PM with Merrill Kelly on the mound for the Diamondbacks.
