Less than a month ago, Isaiah Simmons was sweating it out at the Arizona Cardinals’ training camp. Now, he’s set to make a return to State Farm Stadium, only this time he’ll be repping a New York Giants uniform.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Simmons, the 8th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Cardinals, found himself traded to the Giants on August 24th in exchange for a 7th round draft pick.
Many looked at the trade as an obvious indication of a tank job by the Cardinals.
Now, the spotlight is on Isaiah Simmons as he prepares to face his former team this Sunday.
The 25-year-old linebacker recently sat down with Brandon London to discuss the emotions he’ll be carrying into this weekend’s game.
When asked if there was any sort of revenge going through his mind, Simmons replied, “Personally, just for me, it’s a business trip. I feel like if I go back with, like, vengeance or getback, you know, that’s just like another factor that’s just going to be running through my mind.”
Simmons is particularly eager to test his skills against the Cardinals’ receivers, a challenge that has him genuinely excited. Video credit to @KSzn2021.

Last week, Simmons was on the field for only 26% of the defensive snaps during the Giants’ humbling 40-0 loss to the Cowboys.
However, Giants’ Defensive Coordinator Wink Martindale has assured that Simmons will have an expanded role in this week’s game in Arizona.
