Quarterback Power Rankings

Top 10 Quarterbacks

  1. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs – It will take a lot more than one lost without Travis Kelce for this man to not be number one
  2. Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins – Tagovailoa had the best performance of week one and looked like the second best quarterback in the NFL.
  3. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals – Burrow had the worst performance of week one and has to redeem himself to stay in the top five next week.
  4. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles – Hurts didn’t have his best performance but found a way to win against a good New England defense.
  5. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars – Lawrence was solid in the Jaguars win and his connection with new wide receiver Calvin Ridley looks great.
  6. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers – Herbert lost the shootout against Tagovailoa but its easy to see how good Herbert is and will be going forward.
  7. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens – Jackson was not good against the Houston Texans but as a former MVP he gets the benefit of the doubt.
  8. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams – Stafford had his Roy Jones Jr. “Y’all must’ve forgot” moment in week one. He was great against the Seattle Seahawks and led the Rams to the biggest upset of week one.
  9. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills – Allen was horrible against the New York Jets. He was the reason that Buffalo lost the game. If he continues to be a turnover machine. He will lose his spot in the top ten.
  10. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers – Purdy has not lost a game in his career where he has played the entire game. He looked to be in mid-season form against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Bottom 5 Quarterbacks

28. Sam Howell, Washington Commanders – The Commanders won their game against the Arizona Cardinals despite the pedestrian play from Howell. Howell’s two turnovers kept the game close.

29. Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans – If the Titans played against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. Tannehill’s horrible play would of been a NFL main stream media topic. He matched Josh Allen in horrible decision making but doesn’t have the upside of Allen.

30. C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans – Stroud is a rookie and this ranking is not an indictment on him. He just needs more time to improve his ranking.

31. Joshua Dobbs, Arizona Cardinals – Dobbs had a very tough game against the Commanders. He fumbled three times and two of the were recovered by Washington. The NFL journeyman also could not get the ball downfield. He averaged 4.4 yards per passing attempt.

32. Zach Wilson, New York Jets – Aaron Rodgers went down with a season-ending injury four plays into the game. Wilson came in and got the win. Josh Allen and his three interceptions had more to do with the Jets winning than Wilson did. The Jets may have to look into making a trade for a quarterback to save their season.
