Bracketologist Rocco Miller first reported the news of the matchup over a month ago, but now it is getting finalized. He also said that they will be playing a neutral site game near Phoenix next season.

Miller has also reported that the Sun Devils are playing Mississippi State on Nov. 8 in Chicago and will host San Francisco on Dec. 3. Rothstein has reported that the Sun Devils will be playing a neutral site game at Footprint Center against Northwestern on Dec. 20. They will also be participating in the Vegas Showdown on Thanksgiving weekend alongside BYU, NC State and Vanderbilt.

The Horned Frogs defeated the Sun Devils 72-70 in March, and while ASU will only have three returning players from that team (Frankie Collins, Jamiya Neal and Alonzo Gaffney), the matchup will be an opportunity for revenge and a resume-boosting victory if they could pull it off.
