Earlier yesterday morning on NBA Today, the crew talked about the trade options that could happen for both Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton.

Former NBA player Richard Jefferson took time to talk about what he’s been hearing in regard to both Paul and Ayton’s future in Phoenix.

Jefferson talked about the roster construction of the Suns and how both Paul and Ayton’s futures being up in the air should scare teams around the league because it will allow Phoenix to add quality depth around two high-level scorers in Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.

What that ultimately looks like is going to have to be through trades this offseason since the Suns don’t have a lot of cap space to work with as Paul, Booker, Durant, and Ayton are making over 50% of the team’s salary cap.

According to Jefferson, all signs are pointing to Ayton leaving which wouldn’t come as a shock given the cap situation with the team as well as Ayton’s up-and-down play throughout the season and in the playoffs.

Suns May Explore Trade for Deandre Ayton
