After 11 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, GM and President Bob Myers stepped down, leaving speculation about his future and whether coaching may be around the corner.
Almost immediately following the report, Suns’ 13-time All Star Kevin Durant shared a photo of himself with Bob Myers on his Instagram story.
The photo consisted of Durant and Myers holding their 2018 NBA Finals trophies; it was the second-straight championship for the Warriors.

Bob Myers even acknowledged a phone call that he received following the stepping down announcement.

While the Suns have mainly kept their focus on Frank Vogel, Doc Rivers, and Kevin Young as their final pool of possible coaching candidates, Bob Myers could definitely spark interest within the organization.
With the ties Myers has with Kevin Durant and the winning culture that he built with the Warriors, he may just be the perfect fit for a Suns team that is in desperate need of a leader in the front office.
Stay tuned for further updates as the Suns coaching search continues into the month of June.
