Not only are the Suns going to look into shopping Chris Paul but they’re looking into the possibility of trading number one overall pick Deandre Ayton according to ESPN Tim McMahon.

Ayton was the 2018 1st overall pick that the Suns selected in the famous Luka Doncic and Trae Young draft. Ayton over the years has been a solid player for the Suns but question marks have come about his lack of physicality and effort on the court.

According to McMahon, he said that Ayton “would be excited about a fresh start with another franchise.” This doesn’t surprise me as well based on the amount of question marks and pressure he has received over the years from media and fanbase.

Report: The Suns Are Expected To Shop Chris Paul This Summer

Before his injury in game 6, Ayton for the series was averaging 11 PPG, 8 RPG, and 1 APG on 58% shooting. He struggled a lot against Jokic and fans have been calling for a change for some time.

It seems like Mat Ishbia is prepared to make a lot of changes this offseason in hopes to bring this team a championship in the future with cornerstone players Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
