BREAKING – Chris Paul is sidelined by a groin injury and is likely to be replaced by Cameron Payne. Chris Paul sustained the injury in Game 2 last Monday, May 1st. His departure from the game left the Suns to lose the lead and struggle to keep up with the surging Nuggets. The last time we had Cameron Payne on the starting lineup was in the first two games of the 2021 Conference Finals where he contributed positively to the Suns performance on their way to winning the series in six. This would punch their tickets to the NBA Finals that year.

Tonight will be the first game for us back at home after going 0-2 on the road, and many Suns fans are hopeful that home field advantage will put some gas back in the tank.

Fans look to anchors like Kevin Durant and Devin Booker to lead the charge at the Footprint Center. Booker gave an impressive performance in Monday’s Game 2, scoring 35 of the Suns’ 87 points (40% of the team) with a 48% field goal percentage by night’s end.

Head Coach Monty Williams alluded to some interesting possibilities in terms of gameplan adjustments. Expect to see some offensive tweaks possibly involving T.J. Warren and Terrence Ross.

In other news:

It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of former Suns GM Lance Blanks. Our prayers are with his family during this difficult time. He touched the lives of many athletes with his sincere devotion not just to basketball or sports in general, but with his tenacious pursuit of bettering the people around him.
