The Chris Paul Injury Adds More Problems For The Suns After Game 2 Loss

© Ron Chenoy- USA TODAY Sports

It was already bad as soon as the Denver Nuggets were still in the game going into the fourth quarter despite shooting poorly all night long from three. Unfortunately, they have a future hall-of-fame player in Nikola Jokic who continues to show why he’s a 2-time MVP.

Tonight he scored 39 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and effectively controlled the game for the Nuggets, especially in the fourth quarter. The Suns on the other hand continue to shoot the ball poorly from beyond the arc.

For tonight’s game, the Suns managed to shoot 19% from three as everyone on the team struggled to hit shots. Even though Kevin Durant had 24 points, he was 10/27 from the floor and shot 16% from three.

Devin Booker was the only player to have an efficient night shooting as he was 14-29 from the floor and kept the Suns in the lead for the majority of the night.

Another thing that has hampered the Suns is production from the bench. Cameron Payne only had 2 points on 1-7 shooting and Damion Lee played 26 minutes and didn’t score a basket while going 0-5.

Fans are already wondering why head coach Monty Williams hasn’t played Terrence Ross or T.J. Warren in the series or for the majority of the playoffs. With the lack of scoring coming off the bench the noise will just continue to grow louder.

Now on top of everything that’s already been tough, the Suns now have an injury they’re dealing with as starting point-guard Chris Paul left the game with a groin injury in the second-half.

Devin Booker was asked about Chris Paul’s injury after the game and he’s wishing his teammate and friend nothing but the best moving forward.

Suns Lose Chris Paul, Fall to the Nuggets in Game 2

With Chris Paul out we have no idea how long it will be until he’s back on the floor. But make no mistake about it, the Suns just got more problems added to them in this series that they need to figure the answers to fast.
