The Suns were in a dogfight throughout the majority of the game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Norman Powell deserves some praise as he had a game for the ages. He finished with 42  points on 15-23 shooting while hitting 7 threes. Russell Westbrook as well finished with a double-double as he scored 30 points and dished out 11 assists.

Bones Hyland as well dropped 20 off the bench and Ty Lue’s squad gave the Suns everything they had from a physicality perspective to a shooting perspective.

Unfortunately for the Clippers a couple of things happen to them tonight. The Suns outshot them at the foul line by 21. And Devin Booker had one of the best performances of his career as he dropped 45 points on 18-25 shooting. This was right after he dropped 38 on Game 2 just two days ago.

Kevin Durant continued his efficient shooting night by scoring 28 points on 8-15 shooting and Deandre Ayton scored 12 points and 10 rebounds.

It’s crazy to think that the Suns dropped 46 free-throw attempts and still almost lost today’s game. The Clippers shot 43% from three without two of their best players on the court.

What this series has proved to me so far is if Paul George and Kawhi Leonard were healthy, the Clippers would be my favorites to go to the finals. The Suns needed every ounce of Devin Booker’s greatness tonight to go up 2-1 in the series.

The Suns’ next game is back at Crypto.com Arena and they will be facing the Clippers yet again. Let’s see if Kawhi Leonard comes back but I’m under the oppression now that it doesn’t matter and the Suns are going to be in a dogfight every game for the rest of this series.
