Sunday will start the mark of the Phoenix Suns beginning their postseason run. Up first for the Suns will be the Los Angeles Clippers at Footprint Center.

Christopher Denson of Burn City Sports mentioned that even a Game 1, dominating win for the Clippers would spell catastrophe for the Suns.

L.A. will be without Paul George for the first round due to his leg injury he sustained in March. Without George, the Clippers will be relying heavily on Kawhi Leonard along with other role players.
Against a less-stacked team, a series win would still be likely for the Clippers. Yet going against a formidable starting unit that the Suns present will be an unfortunate bounce for L.A. in the first round.
The Suns were able to get Kevin Durant back into the fold in the last few games of the regular season. He played 40 minutes in his final game against the Denver Nuggets.
Matching Durant along with Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton against what the Clippers have to offer could make for an early-ending first round.
While L.A. may get one game from the series, two is highly unlikely. The Clippers do have some potential pieces that could be X-Factors.
Russell Westbrook has given his career a brief revive since signing with the Clippers. He averaged 20.5 points along with 8.3 assists during his last five games. He also shot 56 percent from three-point range off 4.2 attempts per game.
There’s also Norman Powell, an underrated forward that can change the dynamic of the contest. He’s averaged 17 points while shooting nearly 40 percent (39.7) for the Clippers this season.
Against the Suns, however, the most that those players could do is help diminish lead, never takeover it. Yet as noted by Denson, anything can happen in the playoffs, and such a loss in Game 1 by a blowout could give the Phoenix area a bit of worry.
