Booker, Durant; One-Two Punch

Last night the NBA got to see Devin Booker and Kevin Durant on the same team for the first time. It did not disappoint, the new tandem is already showing signs of a one-two punch. As I call them, Batman and Batman.

Both superstars were in their bag as the kids say. Booker scored 37 points while dishing out 7 assist and grabbing 6 rebounds. His numbers over 33 minutes were extremely efficient, as he shot 15-26 from the field.

Durant, who is still working his way back to playing major minutes had and even more efficient outing by dropping 23 points in 27 minutes. Shooting an impressive 10-15 from the field, 2-4 from beyond the arc.

How Booker and Durant help the Suns

While Booker and Durant took most of the opposing teams attention, it allowed other players to play in their lane with little pressure.

Chris Paul, the future hall of fame point guard, was able to dish out 11 assist. Even though his shooting touch was off last night, the one-two punch in Booker and Durant picked up the slack.

Also, big man Deandre Ayton who has had a ton of eyes and pressure on him all season due to injuries was able to relax. Under the radar Ayton scored 16 points while obtaining 16 rebounds, he also dished out 4 assist of his own. The only downside to his stats are the foul trouble he was in.

With most of the perimeter defense traded for offense, the pressure on Ayton to be a rim protector at a higher level than he is used to will be something to get used to.
