Arizona Diamondbacks have a number of things to be excited about right now, Corbin Carroll is one of them. He is currently the favorite in Las Vegas to become the National League Rookie of the Year at 4 to 1 odds.
Last season Carroll was called up in August and immediately made a splash at the big league level. At least once a week he had a viral moment that took the baseball world by storm.
Whether it was him hitting a bomb deep to left, making an insane diving catch in the outfield, or the mechanically beautifully way he ran the bases. His speed jumps out of the television screen and into your living room. I mean this kid is fast on paper.
Coming into this season with all of the expectations will be a challenge he has not faced yet in his career. However, I believe veterans in that locker room will be able to take some pressure off of the kid.
Can it be True?
Can Corbin Carroll live up to the hype? He seems to have all the poise in the world, however that spotlight gets hot really fast when you do not reach the expectations the world has on your shoulders.
Being the betting favorite for Rookie of the Year, on top of the amazing month of baseball he played down the stretch of last season will be held over his head all season long.
Not only in Arizona, yet, across the baseball nation. Fans from all over will be tuning in to see if this kid truly is the next superstar in the outfield for a decade to come.
