It appears the Suns are ready to move on from their “Big-3” that never really managed to get off the ground. Phoenix is currently sitting in 11th place in the West and is a second apron team with a team salary of over $212 million this season. Reports now say the team to move in another direction.
Starting by trading Kevin Durant this summer.
The 14x All-Star wasn’t their first choice. The Suns would have preferred moving Bradley Beal before the trade deadline and bringing in Jimmy Butler. But it didn’t take very long to realize that no body in the league wanted to take on his massive contract. Failing to move him, Phoenix moved to plan-b. With the trade deadline passed, it now looks like we are headed for another summer of Durant.
After this year, KD will have one season left on his contract, making him a very attractive trade piece. ESPN Brian Windhorst reported that both KD and the Suns know what is coming and are excepted to work together to find Durant a new team this summer.
"I would expect this summer for Durant and the Suns to work together to find a new home." ????

Durant was recently selected to the All-Star game and should have plenty of interested suitors this summer. KD recently scored his 30,000th career point and is still averaging 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists per game this season.
