A disastrous 16-19 start for the Phoenix Suns is only compounded by injuries, constant trade rumors and rising tension in the locker room.

From suggesting simple lineup changes to begging the Suns to blow up the entire roster, fans have had enough. One of the wildest suggestions for Phoenix comes from Dan Bickley, co-host of Bickley and Marotta Mornings on Arizona Sports, where he suggests that Suns owner Mat Ishbia and front office cut their losses while they’re ahead and trade All-Star forward Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets in exchange for all their assets.

“I cannot and will not criticize Ishbia for his desire to win and his desire to spend,” Bickley said. “It’s everything you want in an owner. But now might be the time for somebody to throw up a stop sign and look into moving KD to Houston, right here right now. See if you can extract enough draft picks in return to make it viable.

“Because these Suns are consistently outplayed, outworked, out-dumped, out-rebounded and out-hustled and Jimmy Butler isn’t going to solve all of those issues plaguing our basketball team.”

This discussion comes on the heels of a month-long saga between Butler and the Suns as the six-time All-Star is trying to force his way out of Miami and prefers to be sent to Phoenix.

Many people think that Butler would solve a lot of the issues holding the once 8-1 Suns back. Other, like Bickley, think the situation is unsalvageable and Phoenix should start from scratch, starting with reallocating the assets they lost attaining Durant in the first place.
