The Suns issued a statement on Tuesday morning making it official that Frank Vogel has been officially hired as the new head coach of the Phoenix Suns.

Vogel has been out of coaching for the past year but he’s highly recognized as one of the best basketball minds of all time especially when it comes to defense.
In 7 of his 10 seasons being a head coach, Vogel’s defenses ranked in the top 10 while ranking in the top 5 in five of those seasons. His attention to detail on the defensive end is what has set him apart from other coaches around the league.
Suns general manager James Jones issued a statement welcoming Vogel and he seems to have the ultimate respect for how good of a coach he is.

Vogel also issued a statement explaining how happy he is to be partaking in this new journey of becoming head coach of the Phoenix Suns. One of the things that stood out to what Vogel says, is how much he is committed to winning.
