GLENDALE – The 2025 season has catapult Arizona Cardinals tight end to best in the NFL status. McBride leads all major offensive categories for his position, with receiving yards, catches and touchdowns. The two-time Pro Bowler hasn’t been playing against his contemporaries but all-time greats. Last week, McBride set the NFL record for most catches by a tight end in a single-season, passing Zach Ertz.

His strive for shattering NFL and franchise records continues in Week 18 vs. the Los Angeles Rams, as he has an opportunity to cement himself as the greatest Cardinals tight end in history.

McBride in striking distance of franchise record:

McBride is currently slated at 1,174 receiving yards on the season, 31 yards behind the franchise leader for tight end all-time in Jackie Smith. The Hall of Fame tight end played 15-years with the St. Lous Cardinals and was a five time Pro Bowler, making McBride’s eventually passing that much more impressive.

McBride has only recorded less than 31 yards once in 2025, and outside of his rookie season, has never done it against the Rams. The fourth-year Cardinals tight end will likely earn first-team All-Pro honors for his production, being the first offensive Arizona player since David Johnson in 2016. His NFL records are a tremendous honor, but McBride’s pride for the organization makes his strive for the franchise record something to watch for in Week 18.

Can Cardinals WR Michael Wilson achieve this career milestone in Week 18 vs. Rams?
