GLENDALE – As the Arizona Cardinals enter month four in the Jacoby Brissett contract situation, a recent post by the 33-year-old might signal a positive update. On Thursday, Brissett posted on his Instagram story with key skill players like Trey McBride, Marvin Harrison Jr. and more following a workout in Florida. With training camp less two weeks away, and Brissett not participating in last month’s minicamp, this is a massive development for him and his teammates to get the necessary reps in before then.

Throughout the process, players like McBride and Harrison have given their verbal support of Brissett during this process. The 10-year pro helped many skill position players have career years, setting up McBride for a first-team All-Pro honors and Michael Wilson’s first 1000-yard season. Brissett’s importance in the development of these young talents is crucial. The Cardinals entered the Summer with hopes of getting a full offseason of Brissett being the starter to give him and players the proper time to get acquainted that wasn’t available in 2025.
However, Brissett only being due $1.5 million in guarantee money has made that hope complicated. He hasn’t been in the building for a majority of the offseason. Then, when he arrived for minicamp, Brissett remained on the sideline waiting for his much desired payday.

While his teammates support during the process to the media has been helpful, Thursday’s post adds another layer to the saga. Safety and team captain Budda Baker even posted on social media about wanting his starting quarterback to get paid. Arizona’s offensive and defensive players want Brissett to get paid, which makes the holdout more and more confusing, especially with training camp less than two weeks away.
