To everyone that supported me and showed kindness to my family and I during my time in AZ, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I wanted nothing more than to be the one to end the 77 year drought for this organization, I am sorry I failed us. I wish this community and my…

When Kyler Murray posted that he felt like he “failed” Arizona, the response wasn’t anger. It was empathy. On Tuesday, as the Arizona Cardinals officially moved on, fans flooded social media with appreciation, accountability, and a collective shrug toward the dysfunction that lingered around their quarterback. The message was clear; this wasn’t all on him.

Kyler Murray holds the all-time rushing touchdowns and yards by an Arizona QB with 32 touchdowns and 3,186 yards, let alone the top three in passing yards, touchdowns, and completions in Cardinals history. Yet during his tenure, the Cards ranked near the bottom of the league in coaching stability and roster continuity. Winning in the NFL demands alignment; Arizona often operated in fragments.

For fans in the Valley, this is personal. Murray represented hope after years of quarterback instability. He was electric, a player who made Sundays feel urgent again. Nationally, he symbolized the modern NFL being dual-threat, improvisational, and fearless. Locally, he was the face on the billboard. So when he said he failed, fans pushed back. They acknowledged injuries, inconsistency, and front-office issues, along with philosophical resets that stalled momentum. Their reaction wasn’t denial; it was perspective.

Quarterbacks shape franchises, but franchises shape quarterbacks. Arizona’s next era must be built on structural clarity, not just star power. Fans have shown they understand the difference. In the end, Murray’s exit isn’t about blame. It’s about being accountable and moving forward as a franchise. The Cardinals now have a massive decision on their hands on how to go about doing that, and their fans recognize that.
