GLENDALE – The teams interested in Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray are known. The New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings have been connected to the two-time Pro Bowler early this offseason. Arizona won’t be able to make a trade until the New League Year on March 11th, and it will need to get a deal down by the 15th as Murray’s contract becomes guaranteed for that season.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The saving grace for the Cardinals is that Murray has reported interest in one of the three teams. SKOR North’s Phil Mackey stated on the “Purple Daily” podcast that a source told him that the 28-year-old would be open to the Vikings.

Murray with reported interest in Vikings:
Minnesota has been in the market for their next quarterback since not re-signing Kirk Cousins. The franchise drafted J.J. McCarthy as an option, but he would eventually lose the job to now Super Bowl winning quarterback Sam Darnold. In 2024, Darnold led the Vikings to a 13-4 record, and overachieved to the tenth degree. Despite losing in the first round, the Vikings might’ve found their answer.
However, then general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah decided not to give Darnold his money and let him walk to the Seattle Seahawks. That decision would lead to Adofo-Mensah being fired and McCarthy being rushed into the starting spot, which he struggled mightily last season.

Head coach Kevin O’Connell is still considered one of the best coaches in the NFL, but the lack of security at QB has been the downfall of his tenure. Murray would be a seven-year pro, with a talent that could thrive in an O’Connell system if given the guidance. The former first overall pick has all the athletic gift in the world to be elite in the league, but will not find it in Arizona. A change of scenery, and a change of climate, will unlock the Vikings and Murray next year.
