PHOENIX – Entering Tuesday’s game vs. the Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker was only 14 points away from moving to 95th all-time in the NBA scoring list. A player of Booker’s capability makes that point total easy to attain, which he smashed by the third quarter. Moving up one spot isn’t that special, but the person the five-time All-Star passed could be interperated as destiny.

Booker and Kidd both had the honor of being a part of the Suns organization in their career. The Hall of Famer spent five seasons in the Valley, making three All-Star appearances and averaging 14.4 points and 9.7 assists in 309 career games. The 29-year-old surpassed Kidd a long time ago in the franchise’s scoring list, but now moves into all-time conversations.
The 10-year veteran guard is in the running for the best player to wear a Suns jersey and could be jumping into an NBA Top 75 spot, as Kidd was a part of that initial list. Booker has another decade of playing career ahead of him and can make a serious dent into the top 80 scoring rankings this season.
