PHOENIX – When the final buzzer sounded on Sunday night, the game between the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers didn’t just come to a close; it shifted into scrutiny. Close games involving star power often do, and this time, the NBA’s Last Two Minute Report is trying to shut down any controversy.

According to the league’s assessment, every call and non-call made in the final minutes of Sunday’s matchup were ruled correct. That conclusion matters because the report exists to answer a question that Suns fans were asking: Did the officials get it right when it mattered most? In this case, the NBA officials say yes.

The NBA’s official ruling of last two minutes:
Dillon Brooks’ heated moment with LeBron james leading to his ejection was a major turning point late on Monday night, and the NBA ruled: “Brooks (PHX) is assessed a technical foul for unsportsmanlike physical contact with James (LAL) during a dead ball situation.”
L2M Report from last night’s Suns-Lakers game:
1. James contests to the side of Brooks and would avoid making contact if not for Brooks extending his left leg/knee towards James.

When it came to Devin Booker’s foul on LeBron James, the NBA posted, “Replay review of the foul called on Booker (PHX) pursuant to a coach’s challenge was deemed unsuccessful. Booker initiates contact with James’ (LAL) right arm/wrist as he is starting his upward shooting motion.”

For Suns fans, the reaction is layered. Frustration doesn’t disappear just because a report is released, although another piece of confirmation from the league adds perspective to the ending on Sunday.
Was Devin Booker’s late-game foul call on LeBron James warranted?
