Beachum on winning the Walter Payton Man of the Year:

Since arriving to Arizona in 2020, Beachum has done a stellar job of helping the community with critical factors like education in STEM and focusing on food insecurity. Besides earning the honor of the award, the 36-year-old will receive a $40,000 donation to a charity of his choice and a decal on his helmet to immortalized him for the rest of the season as a Man of the Year winner.

Beachum came from a smalltown in Mexia, Texas and earned a scholarship to a local school in SMU two hours away. He has been an underdog his entire career and has continued to work hard to achieve his dreams, going from being the 248th overall pick in the 2012 draft to being a 13-year veteran. Coming from humble beginnings, Beachum has been trying to give back to the community to show his gratitude and his hard work has earned him his third Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
