Quarterback Kyler Murray is set to make his return to action against the Dallas Cowboys in two weeks, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter who broke the news on the Pat McAfee Show.
“[Murray is] from that area,” Schefter said on the show. “He’s not gonna miss a game in Jerry’s World against the Cowboys. So, you can expect to see [Murray] back two weeks from tonight.”
Murray has been out with a foot injury, missing the team’s last two games against the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers. His return comes as the team tries to end a five-game losing streak that has cast a long shadow over the season.

The bye week will offer the team a much-needed reset. While Jacoby Brissett has done his best to fill in, averaging 300 yards and two touchdowns in his last two starts, Arizona still needs to recalibrate its offense and find solutions defensively before it continues to slide down the rankings..
In their five losses, the Cardinals were defeated by a combined total of 13 points, including several decided on the final drive.
Now, the Cardinals face the toughest schedule in the NFL, with a strength of schedule of .608, beginning with the Cowboys.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett (7) is sacked by Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Micah Parsons (1) at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Oct. 19, 2025.
While Brissett has played well as a starter, despite the results, Murray’s return could spark a resurgence for a team looking to turn its season around before it’s too late.
The team and its fans are frustrated with the performances over the past few weeks, marked by fourth-quarter collapses and chemistry issues at the forefront. While it’s unlikely the Cardinals will find themselves atop the NFC West this season, they still have a chance to flip their season and avoid being defined by those collapses.

With the bye this week, the team and Murray have an opportunity for redemption against Dallas as they look to break the losing streak and get back on track.
