GLENDALE – If the Arizona Cardinals losing their RB1 and RB2 wasn’t enough, why not one more. Arizona released its injury report for Sunday’s Week 7 game vs. the Green Bay Packers, listing RB3 Emari Demercado out with an ankle injury. The offense will be left having to rely on fourth-stringer Bam Knight and Michael Carter, who the team signed a few weeks ago off the practice squad.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Carter is the safe choice to receive a majority of the carries that Demercado has gotten. However, the better choice would to go full throttle in making Knight the Cardinals new RB1 this Sunday.

Why Bam Knight is the answer:
Knight is an explosive playmaker in an offense that doesn’t have many of them. In his two appearances, Knight has scored a touchdown in both games, while having multiple plays of 10+ yards. Arizona is 26th in yards per play (5.0), and the 24-year-old gives the offense much more explosive play possibility on the ground and receiving in the backfield.

During the preseason, Knight had 12 carries for 138 rushing yards and given the chance to be the team’s main attack on the ground, would open the door for the offense. At 5’11, 210 pounds, Knight contains a nice blend of power and breakaway speed that has shown greater success than Carter in his appearances this season.
Last week vs. the Indianapolis Colts, Knight had the most carries with 11 for 34 rushing yards. His number should boost near the high teens, as he’ll still share reps with Carter. Regardless who gets the start, Knight and Carter will have its toughest challenge this season against the NFL’s number one rushing defense in the Packers.
