Former Cardinals Quarterback Jake Plummer was spotted not only enjoying his time with the Arizona fans who traveled to New Orleans, but literally leading the fan parade. Something electric, such as a fan event celebrating the Cardinals in Saints territory with a full brass band, red confetti, and Cards jerseys marching down Bourbon Street, is the best way to bring the energy to kickstart the 2025 NFL season. It was Plummer’s appearance that turned it from a gathering into a movement. His presence gives the Cardinals faithful a symbol of resilience and nostalgia. The timing is no coincidence, as the Cardinals continue on their path back to the playoffs, Plummer’s presence offers heart.

Jake Plummer has more ties to Arizona than just the Cardinals, as he was the Quarterback for Arizona State from 1993 to 1996. Plummer was then drafted by the Cardinals in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Plummer slowly became the face of the Cardinals during his time there and has spoken in the past about how amazing his times were in Arizona.

The Cardinals fans are getting more recognition around the league for having a fanbase that not only travels to support their team but is doing so in style, yet embracing the city they are visiting and its surroundings. The Caesars Superdome might be painted red on Sunday as the Cardinals fans are sure to be loud and proud, just like in the parade with Jake Plummer.
