Last season, White had 137 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 9 TFLs for the Cardinals. One of the tone setters on defense for Arizona, White’s football IQ and intensity can elevate anybody’s defensive core. With White now out of the picture, how will the Arizona Cardinals address his departure?

How the Cardinals plan to rework defense after Kyzir White’s departure:
The Cardinals just recently named their captains for the 2025 NFL season, and Mack Wilson Sr. will be taking over the role after White leaving. In 2024, Wilson Sr. ended with 75 total tackles, 3 sacks, and 1 interception. General Manager Monti Ossenfort also brought in game-changing talent and leadership with names such as LB Josh Sweat and DE Calais Campbell.

White not only brought energy and intensity, but true leadership. Recently, via his Instagram, Wilson Sr. posted a jersey that White signed and personalized for him. Cardinals fans noticed the photo in hopes that White may resign with Arizona. White’s relationship with his teammates in Arizona meant a lot to him as he reposted it, saying, “My brother for life.” Cardinals Head Coach Jonathan Gannon and DC Nick Rallis also have had a very long and special relationship with Kyzir White, even with Nick Rallis naming his son’s middle name after White. His impact on and off the field for the Cardinals will be missed, and Arizona has to figure out a way to fill that void.

Kyzir White joins a Tennessee Titans team that is rebuilding, though has high hopes behind the No. 1 draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, QB Cam Ward. The wait is over though for White, who now heads to the AFC South. White will surely bring his talents, inspiration, and hard-nosed work ethic to the Titans, though only time will tell if Arizona will regret not resigning him to come back to the desert.
