PHOENIX – The 2025-2026 NBA season is around 10 weeks away, and the Phoenix Suns are beginning to announce key dates for the beginning of next year. The league announced that Phoenix will have its media day on Sept. 23rd, with training camp starting the following day.

What international series means for Suns:
Phoenix hasn’t played outside of America since 2020 against the San Antonio Spurs in Mexico City. The team being able to play overseas should be for the players’ benefits, as the roster is filled with newcomers. The China trip could be a bonding experience for all the new teammates and get them accustomed to one another.

The organization will have 11 new players on the roster next season and will need to use the extra start on media day and training camp to build camaraderie. 10-year NBA guard Devin Booker will be viewed as the leader, being the longest tenured Suns player. The 2025-2026 season will be the first time in years that Booker will be the unanimously appointed captain of the clubhouse and will need to do plenty of the heavy lifting with this young roster.
