Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The depth chart has plenty of takeaways of how training camp is progressing, especially for the young guys. Cornerback Will Johnson is already listed as a starter, while 2nd-year defensive tackle Darius Robinson looks to be striving for a starting spot.

Cardinals unofficial depth chart:
The lost of Sean Murphy-Bunting and Startling Thomas for the entirety of the 2025 season, has opened the door for Johnson to be a Day 1 starter. Other defensive draftees like 4th-rounder LB Cody Simon and 5th-rounder CB Denzel Burke are still on the outside looking in for a potential starting spot.

Last year’s 1st-round pick Robinson only played in six games last season and struggled to comeback from a calf injury suffered the previous offseason. However, since he’s recovered, Robinson has lived up to the billing in training camp and is in the running to be a force in Arizona’s pass rush.
Mack Wilson Sr. and Akeem Davis Gaither are the two listed inside linebackers. The duo have a lot to live up to with the departure of last year’s captain Kyzir White, who had 137 tackles in 2024. Wilson seems like the more attractive option, as he a part of the scheme last year and appeared in 16 games.

The offense looks to be expected, headlined by the stars of last year’s team. Zay Jones being placed at WR3 is interesting, as his shortcomings last season could’ve been enough to put him out of the league. However, his placement in the depth chart could signify how much the Cardinals value his leadership, as he stands ahead of fifth-year Arizona wide receiver Greg Dortch.
The season is still a month away, and with the team’s excessive injury report, the depth chart will change. However, the first look at the projected team’s starting lineup shows the clear improvement of talent from last year’s roster, with many Pro Bowlers littered throughout.
