PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks have traded third baseman Eugenio Suárez to the Seattle Mariners and fans are heartbroken.

Suárez was the centerpiece of many trade talks over the past few weeks, with ESPN’s Jeff Passan reporting on the trade. The All-Star becomes the second D-Back to join the Mariners before the trade deadline — first baseman Josh Naylor was traded to Seattle on July 24.
Diamondbacks fans took to social media to express their heartbreak over losing one of the team’s most loved players.

Seattle will send Arizona three prospects in return for Suárez: first baseman and right-handed pitchers Hunter Cranton and Juan Burgos.
