ATLANTA – Arizona Diamondbacks star outfielder Corbin Carroll made franchise history on Tuesday night as he became the first player in Diamondbacks history to hit a home run in an MLB All-Star Game.

There have been 20 Arizona Diamondbacks All-Stars who weren’t pitchers who have had an appearance in an MLB All-Star game. It is a long list that includes everybody from outfielder Devon White back in 1998, to D-Backs legends along the way like Luis Gonzalez and Paul Goldschmidt, all the way to the 2025 MLB All-Star game with stars like Ketel Marte and Eugenio Suarez. Although none of them have had a home run in the MLB All-Star game, until Carroll broke that streak.

Carroll is now the first player in the history of the franchise to hit a home run in the Midsummer Classic, as he crushed a no-doubter to right-center field off the Detroit Tigers star pitcher Casey Mize.

So far on the 2025 season, Carroll has a .245 batting average, .324 on-base percentage, though he has been slugging .550 with 21 home runs on the season, even while dealing with a wrist injury earlier in the season. Carroll has incredible power that has been shown time and time again, and now has helped etch his name in franchise history a little more.
