GLENDALE – The NFL released its annual Top 100 NFL players heading into next season, with Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Josh Sweat finding his way on. The former Philadelphia Eagles had a sensational 2024 season, that was capped off with a sensational 2.5 sack performance in the Super Bowl to become world champions. Sweat might’ve be screwed out of Super Bowl MVP, but he wasn’t screwed out of the NFL Top 100, finding himself at 95.

Cardinals Sweat lands at 95 in NFL Top 100:

Sweat’s teammates from last year had high praise for the 28-year-old, with cornerback Cooper DeJean calling him “dominant.” The former Pro Bowler lead the Eagles in sacks last season with eight. His 6’5, 265-pound frame makes him a nightmare for offensive lineman to defend against. Regardless of his massive size, Sweat’s versatility and creativity when rushing the quarterback is what his teammates were most impressed by last year.

General manager Monti Ossenfort was able to swoop in and sign Sweat for four-year, $76 million this past offseason. Sweat is one of the many new additions to Arizona’s defense that will raise the ceiling to potentially elite status. If he can continue his stellar play, Sweat might find his way higher on the rankings for next season’s NFL top 100.
