Rattlers respond to fan’s comment on Cardinals, Suns and D-backs

GLENDALE — The Arizona Rattlers responded to a fan-made meme on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the current state of Arizona’s top three professional sports teams.

The fan, user @CactusSunnnn, posted an image depicting the Arizona Cardinals, the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks as a silly three-headed dragon. The user wrote, “AZ sports in a nutshell” as the caption.

The meme began to gain traction online, catching the Rattlers’ attention. In response, the IFL team posted a meaner-looking version of the dragon as itself.

“The only true franchise that actually wins chips,” @CactusSunnnn wrote back.

Many Arizona sports fans have expressed their disappointment with the three teams, most notably in the D-backs for its performance over the past month.

The D-backs have gone 2-7 in its last nine games, losing series to the Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
