Suárez in his first four games of the season, is hitting a .286 average with a 1.143 slugging percentage. During this stretch, he has four home runs, seven RBI’s, five runs scored, and a stolen base. It was a memorable opening weekend from start to finish for Suárez, as his first at bat of the season was a home run. He continued his momentum by hitting two home runs on Friday and a fourth one on Saturday as well.

His two homers on Friday was nothing new for the Venezuelan, as it was his 17th career multi home run game. He also ranks fifth in all time home runs for Venezuelan-born players, among good company as well with players such as: Bobby Abreu, Magglio Ordóñez, Andrés Galarraga, and Miguel Cabrera.
Going back to the start of July in 2024, Suárez leads the majors in RBI’s and is third in home runs hit (28) and is only behind Shohei Ohtani… and Aaron Judge.
Aaron Judge was named the American League player of the week alongside Eugenio Suárez for the first week of the 2025 season.

Right on cue, Suárez and Judge will help lead their clubs as they meet tomorrow in New York at Yankee Stadium for a three game series. It will be the Arizona Diamondbacks’ first road trip and away series of the 2025 season.
