PHOENIX – Its that time of year again where we see college coaches and players jump from one school to another. This year, it turns out one of the biggest dominos to fall happened right here in the Valley. Molly Miller was widely viewed as one of the most coveted women’s basketball coaches in the country. She had helped raise Grand Canyon University to the national stage and took them to the NCAA Tournament.
SB Nation’s Mitch Northam first broke the news nationally that Arkansas was looking to hire Miller to take over their program. Shortly after that, Arizona State decided to fire Natasha Adair and then also make a run for Miller. Eventually Miller decided to move just down the road to take over the Sun Devils program. Its a testament to program that Miller built at GCU that the Lopes were then able to land Winston Gandy, a highly respected recruiter and coach.
