After an unfortunate ending to the 2024 season with the D-Backs barely missing the playoffs, will this team show the hunger and consistency to solidify themselves as one of the best teams in the league?
Who will be the MVP of the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2025?
The top two contenders are obviously Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll. Ketel Marte, had an unforgettable 2024 with a .292 batting average, .932 OPS, along with 95 RBI’s and 36 homeruns. If he can replicate what he did last season, he could be in the race for not just MVP of the D-Backs, but of the National League.
Carroll, who struggled in the first half of 2024, came on strong in the second half as he hit 17 homers alongside 17 steals and a .919 OPS. He built on that in spring training this season too. It starts with the two faces of the franchise, if the Diamondbacks are truly ready to take another shot towards the Commissioner’s Trophy.

How will the 2025 season fare?
Most analysts think the Diamondbacks have what it takes to get into the playoffs, though a good amount of them have the club as a Wildcard team. As we saw in 2023, as long as you get into the postseason with momentum, anything can happen. If the Arizona Diamondbacks have their stars step up, and their pitching that they invested in comes to play, they can contend with anybody. That means making another deep playoff run.
