Arizona State is coming off one of their best seasons in program history. The Sun Devils went on a magical run, winning the Big 12 Championship and punching their ticket to the College Football Playoffs before finishing the year with a top-10 ranking.
And yet, this team continues to get disrespected.
The invites to this years NFL Draft Combine have been sent out to some of the top prospects from across the country. Off the 12 teams that made this years playoffs, ASU earned the least amount of invites with just one: Cam Skattebo.
Arguments can be made for several of Arizona St.’s players but two most definitely deserved to be going. Shamari Simmons had a great season for the Sun Devils, finishing with 72 tackles, four forced fumbles and an interception. Meanwhile, Leif Fautanu earned first-team All-Big 12 honors and played a huge part in the successes of Skatt this season.
