Its a yearly NFL tradition. At the end over every season, most teams position groups will go out for one last team dinner together. It’s a way to celebrate the end of the season. It’s called the “rookie dinner”.
There’s only one catch.
After the team runs up an extraordinary bill, the tab gets passed to the rookies. Its sort of a “welcome to the team” moment. It was Cardinals rookies Isaiah Adams and Christian Jones to pay up and Arizona’s vets showed them no mercy.
The grand total for the night? $130,039.27
Paris Johnson Jr. posted the tab to his Instagram account, saying “Yeah you boys got violated.”.
Incredibly, that big of a bill shouldn’t have to much be to much of a burden. Even on rookie contracts, Jones is making $4.3M this year and Adams is making $5.9M. Making the tab around 3% for both players yearly income after taxes.
