Baker spoke to the media today about his routine and how he is ready to play against a good opponent in the NFC West. Baker elaborated on the routine he always does every time the team arrives back in Seattle.

“You know rest in peace my big brother, I usually after, you know when we land I usually go see him at his burial site. …….have a couple words hang out for a sec, go back and get ready for meetings and you know get some good sleep and get ready for the next day.”

No. 3 spoke about his older brother and their childhood tussling and how eventually he got bigger than his brother. Baker also expressed how his brother lifted him up with words of affirmation, on how today he would be so happy for him and would support him specially making him laugh.

Baker has been making Cardinals fans happy for sure, a team offense’s worst nightmare and has been making big plays and getting to spots shutting down huge runs. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said after the Cardinals’ win over the Jets, that Baker was “one of the elite players in the world.” He’s explosive, fast, and powerful. He can rush, he can play the run, and takes the ball away. Really good player,” Gannon said.

Baker indicated this summer prior to the season’s start he would like to stay with the Cardinals for a ninth season. “No matter what, no matter who’s there, who’s coaching, I’m going to do my job and I’m going to be that person that other guys can look on, as well, and ask questions to, and all that other stuff as well.”

Rumors are circulating that the Cardinals could extend Budda Baker’s contract before the safety hits free agency next spring. Defensive teammate Darius Robinson recently shouted him out on X and praised him as the best and how amazing he is to watch in person. Baker said today that it was special that Robinson said that because he is a “pro’s pro already.” Baker was excited and said when the rookie DL return takes place, he believes he will be a “game wrecker”.

Baker was ranked on ESPN’s list of 2025 free agents third among safeties and 22 overall. Check out Week 12 Cardinals Vs. Seahawks Sunday.
