- Bronny James, LeBron’s son, warmed up before the game. Traveling with the team on their road trip, the Lakers are reported to send Bronny down to the G League soon.
- Bradley Beal (Right Elbow Soreness) is expected to play, according to Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer. Beal missed the last game against the Dallas Mavericks after being a game-time decision. Ryan Dunn started in his place.
- Josh Okogie (Right Hamstring Strain) remains out but his recovery process is progressing. He has not played in the first three games of the season.
- Anthony Davis will make his first appearance since being named the Western Conference Player of the Week. He is averaging a career-high 34.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
- Budenholzer on giving Dunn minutes with Beal returning: “The depth and the quality of the roster and the wings is finding minutes for everybody. We want Ryan to continue to grow and develop and all of them are important. We will mix and match and do the best we can and try and to accomplish everything, including playing well and finding ways to win.”
- Lakers head coach JJ Redick on his adjustments from last week to tonight: “Yeah, I thought there were actually adjustments from both teams within the game. “They adjusted to some of the stuff that they did against us. They did differently against Luka (Doncic) and the Mavericks. So, I think the preparation is just to have your game plan and then have your contingency plans and game adjustments.”
