The Arizona Cardinals will once again be without veteran kicker Matt Prater, ruling him out for today’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers with a left knee injury.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! This news seemed likely after Arizona elevated kicker Chad Ryland from its practice squad yesterday. Ryland kicked in place of Prater last week, connecting on 3-of-4 field goals.
Some good news for the Cardinals is that Prater is the only one of four questionable Cardinals to be listed as inactive today. Starting right tackle Kelvin Beachum (hamstring), cornerback Garrett Williams (groin) and rookie offensive lineman Christian Jones (ankle) are all good to go.
Rookie defensive tackle Darius Robinson (calf) and wide receiver Zay Jones (hamstring) were ruled out Friday, as both will wait at least another week to make their season debuts.
Undrafted rookie wide receiver Xavier Weaver will be active for the first time all season after veteran wide receiver Chris Moore was released earlier this week (ultimately re-signed to practice squad but was not elevated). Here is the full list of Cardinals’ inactives:
- K Matt Prater (knee)
- CB Darren Hall
- LB Victor Dimukeje
- LB Xavier Thomas
- TE Travis Vokolek
Week 6 inactives:

The Packers notably did not include star cornerback Jaire Alexander (missed last two games with groin injury) and wide receiver Christian Watson (missed last week with ankle injury) on their inactives list. This is Green Bay’s full list:
- S Kitan Oladapo
- DL Brenton Cox Jr.
- T Andre Dillard
- T Travis Glover
- TE John FitzPatrick
- DL Devonte Wyatt
Today’s game kicks off at 10:00 a.m. MST at Lambeau Field.
