WATCH: ASU coach Kenny Dillingham ecstatic for beating Utah, crediting season success to his players

Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham was proud of his team’s work ethic that has led to a 5-1 start to the season, praised linebacker Caleb McCullough for stepping up in his first start of the season, praised backup quarterback Jeff Sims for how he has adapted to his role, spoke highly of Utah coach Kyle Whittingham and the program he has built and more after beating the Utes 27-19 on Friday.

Utah was on a five-game winning streak coming off of a bye before the loss and star quarterback Cam Rising came back from an injury to his throwing hand. ASU is now 2-0 in the Big 12 and 4-0 overall at Mountain America Stadium since leaving the Pac-12.

Sam Leavitt completed 11-for-18 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown. Cam Skattebo rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns from 22 carries.
